We are very pleased to announce our new partnership with Growfund that allows our members to set up an account and make online contributions. Our hope is to provide a convenient way to contribute to our organization's cause and continue our mission to create a low commitment, high impact project.
What is Growfund?
Growfund is a platform focused on charitable giving and has recently created the Donor-Advised Fund called Growfund for Giving Circles specifically for collective giving organizations like 100 Who Care. A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is simply a savings account for the purposes of charitable giving that offers investment options. All of this is made possible by Growfund's charity sponsor Global Impact, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
How does it work?
As an organization, we created an account with Growfund for Giving Circles. Our goal was to provide a convenient way for people to make contributions via credit card, as opposed to writing checks.
As a member of our organization, you may set up online contributions through our Growfund account. You have the option to set up your contributions annually or quarterly as well as a single occurrence. However, we encourage our members to sign up for a quarter or annual donation.
What are the fees?
There are some administrative fees associated with Growfund as well as credit card transaction fees. We ask our members to contribute $5 per quarter donation to cover the costs of these fees.
